- Trividoku combines trivia with Sudoku. Each normal Trividoku replaces nine of the digits in the puzzle with A - I. There are then nine clues and answers to match up. When you match them, you fill in another digit in the puzzle. Triple Trividokus take 27 digits out of the puzzle with three sets of nine.
- Stars & Stripes Sudoku is 12 x 12 with a catch. Each box, row and column has 1 - 9 and three stars. Unlike a 12 x 12 Sudoku with 1 - 9, A, B and C, for example, each star is "the same", so your technique for solving has to change appropriately.
- Sudoku Islands is similar to hyper-Sudoku except instead of having regular shaped boxes on top of the grid, the islands can float all over.
